I am looking to build some front and rear bumpers and some nerf bars and possibly an exo cage. My question is what kind of pipe benders do you guys use. Thanks

I am sure others will chime in as well, But the first thing you need to determine is what type and kind of material your wanting to use before selecting a bender.

Most guys are using "tube" benders, which differ from "Pipe" benders, Tube is measured by the outer diameter, and pipe is measured from the inner diameter.

In other words i wouldn't purchase a pipe bender to bend tube and vise versa.

I used a JD2 Tube Bender to bend 1.75 and 1.5 inch Tube for my bumpers and cage.

Awesome cage and bumpers I see by the dates that they have been on a while but still all are killer. I am going to see if I can find a tubing bender. Thanks for the info you have been a great help.

probender.com. Ask for Ryan, I built a pretty sick bumper with my Pro3 bender yesterday. I'll post pics when I can. Don't buy "pipe" dies, buy tube dies. The OD is slightly different and you can screw up your tubing if you use a pipe bender.

I'm doing a custom bed and cab exo in the near future.

Thanks for the great info. I am going to get all this info and try to figure out what will be best for me and then we will see what happens. Thanks again.

tubetek.net cheapest quality bender around. might have a lead time on it though.
