Piston Rings

I am putting my engine together and I am unsure if the dot on the rings face up or down. There is no info in my kit about it. I sent the seller a message as I don't have a number for them. Was hoping someone on here might know a quick answer.

This is for a Jeep 242 (4.0)

Dots up. Just put some rings on my jeep pistons too. Mine came with some 'structions though
