I put this up on pirate also, but figured you guys should see it too
I work at Siler City Airport, Identifier is 5w8
I get here at 9 am, Sitting around on the computer ..
Hear a loud boom, look outside at the runway, don't see anything so I go back to the computer.
Look outside at the maintenance hangar, everyone is jumping in the back of a pickup with fire extinguishers.
Immigrant worker from across road comes in and says "plane outside go boom"
Half of the town shows up as voly FD, mass gawking ensues.

Pretty much a non issue just have to file a report with faa, we didn't even call 911. Someone called though :homer: Now we get to deal with reporters, the FAA, emergency managment, FD/PD/SHP
The joys of working at an airport.

The thing is, most people have no idea how much that is going to cast to repair.... A prop strike is expensive!

The way I see it if you can afforid the plain you can afford to fix it when you f#$k it up.

Not necessarily. You can get a decent flyer for $60k or less. Half the time you'll have a four way share since most people can't use it more than one week per month anyway due to having a job. It's likely that each person is throwing in $15k or less + a grand or three per year into a maintenance fund. Plenty of wheelers on here spent a lot more than that on their rigs.

But the difference is noone is driving my rig but me.
