I never shovel snow from my driveway, but for some unknown reason, I did today. Now I remember why I never do!

Please fix your poll. You need to always include "I'd rather eat bacon"

Thank you

Occasionally, but mostly to avoid there being 2 feet of snow on it. I havent seen either of my driveways without snow in about 2 and a half months.

I own a tractor and a skid steer and I've only cleared my drive way once. Last year when we had like 12''. I could also be making lots of money pushing snow but I'd rather spend the time playing w/ my kids in it.

with the jeep..:rolleyes::driver:

Yes

Our driveway is in the shade during the winter months. The snow will pack down from vehicles driving on it and become a 1-2" thick layer of ice and linger for weeks. If I shovel it clean, then the remaining very thin layer dries up with the wind etc in no time. It is then easy to take the garbage and recycling cans out to the road, and not bust my ass getting into my truck due to the slight slope. Our driveway is about 13' wide and about 250' long if I don't shovel the circle part . It took me a little over two hours to shovel 6" of snow off of it during the snow we got over Christmas. I sit in a windowless cubicle all day M-F, so I don't mind it. It is a good work out.

Also why I voted yes. Although my driveway must be a lot shorter, it only takes me about 30 minutes to clear it.

Any snow we get melts within a couple of days. I'll clean off the front steps and the walk, but that's basically it.

We've lived in this house for about 8 years, and I've never seen them plow our street.

more than half the time the wife it I will do it, I voted yes. Our driveway points north and shade from the house blocks most of it from the sun, if we dont get rid of it, it will ice over. Its a pretty good-sized hill, one of the 3 kids of us would take a header.

I voted no even though at 4am I was yelling at someone that there is no point to try and use a broom to sweep the driveway off. The rest of it never did get cleaned off, didn't keep me from driving up it though. And its almost as steep as the Dutch John hill climb, just about 1/4 of the length though (and concrete).

I live in an apartment complex and it doesn't get scraped. It's a lot of fun to watch the cars try and go up the short hill. A few of them have learned to just park it at the top when it snows.

no. do any of yall live in a town that will fine you if you dont clear your driveway?

I own a landscape company. I never clear my driveway and I HATE to mow my own grass! I do it for others so it's the last thing I'm going to do when I get home.

No. I live on a dirt road and have a gravel driveway. No point in shoveling it unless I want to throw crush and run into the yard.

I do clear mine because it will be solid ice if I dont. The ice will linger longer than the snow will. I just used my push broom to clear mine off in about 15 minutes this morning.

^^lol

I live in an apartment and I shovel the ramp from the building to the sidewalk. Mostly because I'm the only one (probably in the entire complex) with a snow shovel, and when they replaced the wood this summer they painted it and it gets slicker than snot on a brass door knob.

I just spin till it smokes in 2wd does that count as a shovel? I do shovel the 2 back steps cause my old dog has a hard time with the ice humps that form on the steps.

I think the poll should include a "That's what the Jeep is for" Option.I just got in from a round of good Samaritan pulling people out of ditches with the Wrangler and I am the only person that has left the house on my street,so I noticed,Super Swampers Leave the coolest tracks in the snow!!!

I have good neighbor who always clears the driveway with a scraper, but I always lay down carpet strips on the side walk, then take them up when it quits snowing..leaving a nice clean path.

Nice.

Everything I drive is 4X4 so the snow has to get pretty deep before I think about shoveling.
