When i am going below 20mph and make a right hand turn ( left front wheel accelerating faster then right), the front left wheel makes a bad popping sound, but only when power is being sent, no issues in neutral. the whole jeep jumps, and i am hearing a slight squeaking during driving. the jeep also pulls to the left at higher speeds. is this a wheel bearing issue, u-joint, or axle shaft? i am hoping its just a wheel bearing or u-joint, its a cheap fix. front axle is a d30. just replaced wheel bearing 4 months ago, but it was the cheap one from advance auto. Thanks for the help.

DUDE! you never told me you had a front locker!
What are you doing tomorrow? If you want we can tear into it and see what the problem is. Can promise i will have a lot of time to fix it, but we can at least see what it is. Let me know what your schedule is like.

Bearings. U-joint. Axle splines. r&p missing more teeth than 3rd shift at the Waffle House.
But I would say best guess=bearings. Even if they are cheapies from AZ, done right they should be OK.

Need to check your axle shaft u joints. Sounds like one of the is seized up.

Pop out the shafts with the hubs attached and try to rotate the joint around to see if it is seized.

ok swapped axle shafts with new ujoints in them and it didnt solve the problem. but when i pulled them there was sand on them, from inside the diff. i am gonna drain it tomorrow, and check the spider gears.

alright well took apart the front diff. everything was fine, took a friend for a ride and he hopped in the back, and said it felt like rear axle, which would make since after replacing the u joing, axle shafts and check diff for metal shards. we think its a bad clutch pack in the trash lock in the rear d44
