Power Brakes for a CJ

I'm looking for a quick easy kit or swap to put power brakes on a cj. It belongs to a friend of mine and he wants to run 35's but it be a little excessive with manual brakes. The jeeps an 84 with a 97 4.0L so it already has the vaccum lines capped under the hood. Can run a yj or tj power brake setup or should I just look for something aftermarket?

I hear the YJ booster/MC is the ticket. I've seen lots about it on JU/CJ forum. I plan to do this someday.
You could shell out a bunch more for aftermarket for hyrdoboost though,
 
I did an '85 cj7. Seemed like all I did was just buy a master cylinder and booster from Auto zone for a cj model an djust bolted it on and ran a vacume line. worked good.
 
Tell your buddy to man up, power brakes are for girls.
If the brakes are right the manual system works great. I've been running mine ('77 CJ with disc/drum) with 36's for many years and it'll stop on a dime (well, maybe a quarter). The added benefit is that the brakes are always there whether the engine is running or not.
 
i did the yj swap years ago on mine. Worked great. Just had to pull the lines to the opposite side of the mc and picked up a couple of adapters from napa to get the brake lines to fit.

38"s here. only recently upgraded to power steering.
