So, the 6.0 is ready to bolt in the CJ7, and I am down to the last couple decisions. It currently has the remote style reservoir on it, the kind with the pressure and return lines on the pump, and a larger 1/2 or so line on top that goes to a tank. For our purposes, is it advantageous to go with either style considering that I dont use a full hydro setup? A tank is easy enough to acquire, and I have a intergral tank style pump somewhere around. I just want to make the better choice. I am thinking this so-far. Integral resvr is less to go wrong (one less hose to pop), smaller to fit in the bay, but has less capacity (maybe). External is extra capacity, but looks like it would not help with cooling since the return line doesnt go to it, it just holds capacity. I run a cooler in the return line on my current setup and it works ok, and I would do the same on this. I am just wondering that GM did this for a reason since it would be a cost-up in manufacturing. Or maybe it was just hard to fill? The setup that I got it from, the pump is down low - it was a van. So, whats the opinions and experience from you guys?
