Im in the market for a tuner for my new(to me) 01 PSD and I am looking pretty hard at a Tony Wildman tuner.Does anybody have any experience w them, good, bad, ugly?????? Their not as fancy as most of whats on the market but its more about function that form.I'll be running a EGT,boost, and trans temp gauge also.

My brother had the TS performance selectable chip on his 00 7.3 6 speed. It ran quite well the few times I drove it. It has options similar to the chip you mentioned. The TS was good enough that he has bought 2 more since for the other two 7.3 trucks he has had since that one. A three-peat customer on one product is enough to convince me it is a decent product, not saying it's the #1, that's just the only one I have had experience with.

Tony Wildman is better on OBS trucks as far as I know. For an 01 id get a DPtuner, well if i was going to upgrade mine today id probably get DP for my 97 7.3 as well.
I have a TS in my 97 but from everything I've read and seen and driven there's better. especially since there all around the same price. I had an Edge EVO before but I'm pretty sure it fried my PCM.

I'm running a TSPerformance 6 Position on my 02 7.3 6Spd (Stock, High Idle, 50, 75,100,140) and am more than pleased with it. It really woke the truck up and increased my fuel mileage when I dont drive like a jackass...which is rare.

Im a newbie to my 7.3 and I have the same tuner. I like it. A friend has been running one for a few years and swears by it.

I sent my PCM (ECU, whatever you want to call it) to DP tuner, they flashed it for 60 HP tow setting, I have been very pleased with it because it did not require any wiring, switches, nothing. It also cost me less than $100 after shipping both ways. Thats what I'd reccomend, alot easier to sell the truck too because it doesn't have a "chip" on it.

I run a superchips programmer. They are faily cheap and can be used as a code scanner also.

Make sure you upgrade the exhaust and intake too.

I have php it does great. Transmission shifts are really smooth. There is a guy that i know really well has the burner just need a chip, which he may have. usually you can pick up a chip fror 225 then burn tunes on it. Also have driven with swamps diesel and they are awesome. you can pm if you want i live in elizabethton. Spencer is my brother

hand down DP Tuner tunes are the best all around. I run his tunes on my 96 f250 and on my 97 f350. i ran tonys tunes on my 96 for a while but i like Jodys tunes better

DP Tuner,,It's awesome. I have 7 tunes on my 2001 7.3. Jody will ask tire size, exhaust, ect, to personally tune your truck. Programs are shift on the flyand easy install to your pcm.

There is only one tuner for a 7.3 and its DPtuner.

DP Tuner has my vote too. I've put about 5 TS 6 position chips on 7.3s and for some reason, which noone at TS could explain to me why, they will not work right on a truck that has previously had a programmer on them. Out of those trucks, I have had one that actually worked. Give Jody at DP a call. He is top notch. I hated to see him leave Asheville. I sent him all of my 7.3 customers, and still do for that matter.

to run a "chip" on a computer that has had a "downloader" it is best to have the computer reflashed b/c alot of times a "downloader" will not remove itself completely from the computer. the computer's in the 7.3's are older and respond better to the chips rather than the downloaders, plus there are quite a few custom tuners out there if you want to go that route.
