Anyone here use Brave for their browser?

I just downloaded it for iPhone and came straight here. It has built in ad blocker and supposedly it doesn’t track everything you do.

I have used it. It runs on Chromium architecture I believe. It didn’t sync bookmarks between devices when I was messing with it which was awkward.

Thats part of the allure. In order to sync settings and bookmarks it has to store your user profile in the cloud. For rpivacy sake it stores your data on your device and doesnt have that info to sync.

See also I’m cheap, I’m lazy, I don’t electronic. Earlier last year there were some wazoo ads kinda fawking with the page but these little ads are nothing and to complain without just paying up for ad free is, well. Starbucks basic….

I used brave for a bit. Some pages loaded odd. I got tired of it and went back to chrome. You also can never use enough to get tokens.

Gotcha. Then I don’t feel bad since I haven’t submitted my name in that in years.

From what I understand the “paid” portion is kinda like the Nielsen tv stuff. It’s voluntary and I’m not interested in that.

Here’s where I heard about Brave. This guy has a serious damn tin foil hat when it come to the internet. But it sounds like he has good reason to.
