Went today to our local, small, independent propane place. The place that was always cheapest, and would pretty well do anything for you, including a wet leg with no questions or hassle. I went out to talk to them about a tank and wet leg. Well, they (D&H if you are around Sanford) sold out to Hunter Oil. They don't sell tanks, and won't do a wet leg.
Went out to Greens. They have sold out to Cooper.
Sooo....I went out to Cooper...they'll do a wet leg, at a residence...but you have to be a "business" and have a business license, and have a certificate of insurance, at least 1 mil. (We do have 1 million liability on our HO, but geez, I don't want to have to jump thru hoops to get this done.) They also only lease tanks, and you have to have a minimum of 250 gallons per year, and preferably 500 in order to keep the lease tank (which you also pay $72 a year for).
While at Cooper, I asked price to fill a forklift tank (33.5) -- $38.00!!!! (I called Hunter on the way home...33.5 is $27.)
Anybody else here had better luck getting a tank and wet leg?
