I'm installing propane on my suburban. The hose from the tank is a couple of feet too short. Also I want to use twin forklift tanks. So I need a tee, two short hoses and an extension hose to get to the regulator. Can I use hydraulic hose that tractor supply sells already made up?

dont use hydro hose

I am a forklift tech, and see these systems all the time, the proylene in the gas will brake down the hydro hose, lp fuel line and fuel hose is inexpensive and the fittings are screw together, any forklift dealer can hook you up

Thanks for the advice,I'm going to a fork lift dealer tommorrow.

I know this is a month old, but....

Did you get what you need? I've had good experience with www.altfuel.com for all manner of propane hose, fittings, other parts.

I also got some leftovers...new hose and stuff, and go to Rocky Mount often.

Thanks for the interest. I did get the proper hoses. Turns out I knew a local forklift technician who was very generous in supplying more than what I needed. I'm still pondering an additional relief vave, but I did vent the tank relief valves out of the suburban with 1" id hose.

I don't fully understand the additional relief valve. Could you elaborate a little more? May be a stupid question but why vent the relief valves out w/ the 1" hose. Reason I'm asking is I just mounted my little boys seat in the rear of my CJ-5 between two forklift tanks. Will he be in more danger than the obvious?
