thanks fo the help.

More info needed. How long have you been running this system? filter clogged up inside the lockout? is the model E freezing up?

What's not new?

And most importantly, did it ever work correctly?

What he said, and is your bottle low? This is what they do when they are running out of fuel. Could also be the freezing up thing because that will happen after a little while if you have air in the heater line.

Also, has the timing been advanced? what kinda tank are you using? Make sure the connection on the tank hasn't been switched if using a forklift tank. ( I have one that has been switched. if using a BBQ tank you would have to use it upside down.

how do the forklift tanks have to run. Ihave them laying flat. the kit it not very old but i have had 2 other setups on it with the same prob. also it don't always do it. but it seems to do it more after i've been under a load. also the lines are the only old part on it. tried it without the filter and still same prob.

Laying down with the hole for the pin(like it is on the forklift) should be in the down position. It's a hole or a slotted hole. If the tank is full, you should have no problem.

Has it ever run? have you advanced your timing?
Running without the filter which is also the vacuum lock off is not a good idea, that gives you an uninterrupted flow of propane, even when the engine is off.

it has run, the timing im not sure of i got the motor and propane out of a running truck and it done the same thing on the truck right before we pulled the motor.
