Making baby steps on my truck and to the point where I’m going to mount the reservoir and cooler. It’s a 3.4 and I got the TG kit to run 40s with hydro assist. Ditching the radiator looking cooler and want a heat sink to maintain good flow.

Derale has so many part numbers etc, I figured I ask here before I ordered. I assume that a dual pass with the ports on one side would be the best way to package it. I plan to run it over the passenger fender near the reservoir.

What length would be optimal for cooling, assuming I can package it? Looking at 10” model 13279 model or the 14” 13280 model.

Thanks NC4x4!

Dual pass with the ports on the same side is pure junk. I'd rather use the TG cooler before this.
The fluid has to make an extremely sharp 180 inside. Terrible for flow.

Get the single pass unit. As big/long as you can fit. And keep it in an area with airflow.

I ran a single pass, mounted in front of the radiator....It was decent, but I would consider it a secondary cooler/added capacity..it doesnt cool that well, especially on slow trails. We ran them on 2 buggies. Both buggies have been upgraded to a fan radiator type cooler. The inlet fitting will be painfully hot to touch, the outlet will be nearly cool to the touch. They are "cheap' at $150
