I'm running a psc full hydro setup with their pump. Today severval times the steering wheel got hard to turn. When I mashed on the gas it got easier then went back to normal. I checked fluid its full. Does this mean that the pump is going out or could it be air in the lines? System is new only 3 real trips. I do run a cooler with fan but today was just playing around behind the house for a couple of minutes. Anyone know bout these things?

Your not pumping fluid for some reason. Make sure there are no kinks in the lines. sounds like you arnt getting enough flow for some reason.

I don't have any kinks. The lines are pretty straight foward. I am running this through a hydro boost also. Its worked perfect until today. I use synthic fluid is this ok? I have super good brakes. Any one else ever had this problem?

He has hydro-boost brakes running off the same pump and he didn't have any issues with the brakes.
We looked it over and no kinks in any of the lines.
Do these pumps pump sporadically if they are going bad?

Have you talked to psc? They have pretty good customer service for what it's worth. Could be something as simple as a smaller pulley.

I'm running a stock size power steering pulley. I will call psc tommorrow and see what they say. When I bought it they said that pump wouldn't even know the hydro boost was there. Didn't say anything about the pulley size I assumed re use the stock pulley. Who knows...
