I have tried to do some research and havn't found what Im looking for. I am putting a 360 in my YJ and decided I want a Qjet carb. I have a mildly built 360 so I am pretty sure I want the 750cfm.

Now where have you guys gotten these things from? I looked at summit and they have a couple rebuilt ones for under $300. Anyone had any luck with these?

Any other things I need to know about these bad boys?

advance or autozone you can get a reman for 125 or so. or pick up a used one and rebuild it yourself

An old q jet is probably one of the easiest carburetor on the planet to rebuild. If you find one just make sure your base plate is not worn completely out. They can be a pain to tune properly.

You'll need a spread-bore intake manifold. Had a Quadrajet on my CJ-5. Worked great.

So if I walk into autozone and say I need a quadrajet carb they should know what i am talking about or is there one from a certian year and truck that works the best? I am new to the carb world and there doesn't seem to be alot of info out there on what exact carb I need besides a quadrajet.

You could do that, but it would be cheaper to search for a used one, have it rebuilt, and wheel on. Aside from the initial cost at AZ or other parts store, you'll have to pay a core charge.

Thanks for your help. Over to the want adds I go...

I don't know what your budget is, but have you considered converting to fuel injection?

I have but I LOVE the sound of a camed and carbed motor and thats what I built it for. I don't know how much the fuel inj would do with the big cam I got in it.

And as of right now it is out of the price for fuel inj...

I need other things like a 60 and 14bolt...

Also if I were to fuel inj it, I would prob just end up getting a 5.3 and 4l60E or something.

Also if this doesn't work off road Ill try some pane.

yea, Just got to do some research and rebuild it to my liking...
