question about front 3 link

i got my 3 link pretty much done in my jeep. the only thing i dont like is that the front raises when i give it throttle.
i didnt use the suspension calculator or anything.

just wondering what causes it to do that. if i can get it to stop that would be great.
the lowers are mounted under the "frame" rail (XJ) and the upper is mounted to the cross.
think the axle distance is 8" and the frame distance might be higher like 9 or so.
 
You usually want less seperation on the frame end, not sure if thats causing the problem or not. I'm just giving a quick tip off what I've read and researched some I could be getting my facts wrong. Anyway free bump.
 
That's the nature of airshocks, the less load there is on them the more they push up.

Is the rear linked? Does it squat when you launch?

If it does it in 2wd then it's pretty much just unloading as the weight transfers to the rear as you accelerate. Expect it to level back out gradually as you reach speed.

What does it do while braking?

The real test on how well it's set up is how it acts in 4wd as you take off
 
its not going to drivin fast. i drove it up the street at like 25mpg and it leveled back out. seems like the whole thing squats under braking, i'll have to try again. the drug dealers up the street dont like me hahah so driving a jeep with no doors, hatch, lights, and on huge 42s are a big stand out. haha usually cops show up later.

i try what i can when i can. i'm still debating on changing the 1310 joints to 1350 so thats been rattaling in my brain.
 
the front suspension really reacts mostly under braking.... the rear suspension and air shocks are most likely the cause for the front lifting under acceleration. More weight or less pressure/more oil may help it some.

You've got drug dealers on your side of the highway too? Geez, Dallas Police need to get to work.
 
hahahah yea, he litterally has a effin drive thru. but the dallas cops wont do nothing. we've called and complined. it wouldnt be bad if he just delivered them orjust did them himself, but he has the road blocked to were a car cant pass. so i usually hook up the goose and see whos cars i hit. ive folded in a few mirrors hahah. depending how my luck goes, i might be getting a place of my own, (fingers crossed)
