hey guys, just got two Nylint crawlers, one big one and one small one. I've never done much with rc cars before and I was wondering where I could get a battery for the smaller one. it takes a 7.2 volt battery, but the ones I keep seeing online look too long to fit in the small battery tray. I've tried searching everywhere for a pic of an origional nylint 7.2 volt battery, but no luck as of yet. If ya'll could help me find one that would be great. I'll have pics of the crawlers up in a bit. thanks.

It's about 3"x4" and 3" tall. I may have an extra if you need one. I'll check when I get home if you send me a PM to remind me.

see the last one there is about 2 1/4" sq. kinda small compared to the long bricks I've been seeing online.

any advice on these things? I've read a few posts on rc forums and have found out the scorpion is a 3rd. gen., and ppl have had axle breakage problems from pushing them too hard. but very little info is given on the smaller scale version. Just how wet can I get one of these without breaking? not to say I'm going to go dive it into a pond, but a small stream would have lots of rocks in it and be kool. I'll probably use the small jeep more anyhow, cause I didn't realize just how big that yellow scorpion really was until I went to get it. just too big really for practical, non-hobbiest, use. If I could just get the 12v battery to charge in it I'll try it out. I think I have a charger issue, I'll get my friends multimeter and check it after while.

they are a great way to get hooked on an expensive hobby.

when you are ready to upgrade to hobby grade crawlers let me know, i ve got a box of parts sittin in the shop. enough to make a crawler out of.

Do not take them in the water. I have one here for my son that is not working right atm. It also broke the axle in the front. There is a plastic gear in his that split in two. He glued it back together when we could not find a replacement.

Big Red, what kind of crawler do you have parts for?

TLT axles, stampede transmission, 2.2 moabs with wheels, 1.9 trail docs with wheels (rare susper swamper look alike) and the accompanying elelctronics.

the TLT axles have the extended blackfoot outters so they have a little bit wider track for stability and body clearance on flex.

currently the only chassis i have is a frame rail scail chassis, my comp chassis got misplaced.

FYI mudder, any 7.2 battery will work. i had cut the bottom section out of mine for the ground clearance and ran a stick battery from radio shack zip tied in the cab.
