Quick question on a 1979 F150 tcase

Looking at picking up a 1979 F150 for parts and the owner doesn't know if it has a divorced or married case. The drivetrain is a 351, auto and 205(i assume because he said it was part time 4wd). Is there any standard for which trucks/drivetrains got the divorced cases vs. married cases? I was thinking that the manuals got the divorced cases while the autos had married cases but all my searching has yeilded no results. Thanks.

the only ford in that era that had a divorced t-case was the highboys. and they stopped doin those in 77.
