Quit dipping?

So I think it is time for me to quit dipping. I switched to Grizzly pouches many years ago “to start the process of quitting” but never slowed down. So now I think it is time. What tobacco and nicotine alternatives did you use to help you quit all together? Thinking maybe Zyn pouches for the nicotine and then some other organic pouch for the “ritual” of spitting. Let me know what you did to kick the habit.

look into fully loaded pouches.

They have tobacco nicotine, white nicotine no tobacco, coffee caffeine pouches and a couple different nootropic pouches. The fully loaded fuel pouch is pretty wild. Though Im half positive they have viagra in them...

I quit cold turkey when my oldest was 2 and walking around spitting in a cup.
Started back on the On pouches a couple years ago after listening to a Peter Attia podcast on the benefits of nicotine on mental clarity and concentration. Quit in January because...wanted to prove I could. Started back a couple weeks ago because...Im working 100 hours a week and just wanted a vice.

Never dipped but chewed and traded cigarettes back and forth for 30 years or so.

The only thing that has kept me from returning is Zyn and Rogue. I breath a lot better, don't have the everyday heart burn but I can't say I'm less addicted.
The 3 milligram doses are weak and I pop one almost like chain smoking. The 6 milligram unit are more satisfying but I'll catch myself staking them as well.
Rogue seems to have better flavor and more slobber😂.

But dang if I don't crave a chew or evening smoke on the back porch. Tried a pipe and cigars a bit and inhaled every bit of it so that's sorta out and found it really unsatisfying if I didn't.

@Ron never heard of the fully loaded.

I use Velo Plus vs. Zyn. The pouches are closer in size to Grizzly. You can ramp down from 9mg to 3mg nicotine levels.

Quit cold turkey 18 years ago. Had dipped/chewed since I was a kid.
My approach was simple, I.stopped buying it.
Really, that's it.
same here.

I dipped for about 30+ years. Got aggravated at a tax hike about 5 years ago. I threw out half a can and never took another.

If you’re going to quit, you have to want to quit! There’s no “I think…” you have to WANT TO QUIT.

Even after 5 years I still get a brief craving that pops up now and then. It’s crazy. But it’s gone in a few seconds.

Quit cold turkey. Well I had help. Buddy of mine I hadn’t seen in a while slapped me on my back by surprise saying hey and that shit went right down the hatch. Puked my brains out in the bathroom of the dirt track at Charlotte and haven’t dipped since.

I fell asleep one time with a wad in. Woke up choking on my own spit. That was the first time I “quit”. Lasted about a month.

I quit a few times. I was about to fall back off the wagon a few months ago and bought a can of zyns. 6mg coffee is where it's at for me. I have no desire to take an actual dip anymore. Still want a Marlboro light after a few beers, but popping a zyn knocks that one down pretty well.

I agree with the wanting to quit, I wanted to quit alcohol, and did but I don’t think I yet want to quit dip. Almost like my last vice as stated above and for some crazy reason don’t want to give it up but need to.

Another big factor for me was dental and gum issues. I spent easily $20k on gum surgeries, cavity repair, root canals and crowns from 2004-2008. When my dentist and then periodontist used the "C" word about a discoloration in my lower gum, that was it for me.
Still have issues with gum sensitivity all these years later.
That being said, I salivate when I smell fresh long cut around me...

With health issues alone you need to quit for your family. Just think of all the money you could have saved and used for hair transplanted to you dome! Or bigger tires lol :)

Tote my mouth up worse than plug chew.
This - I love sunflower seeds but they will leave my mouth raw as hell.

Speaking of plug tobacco....used to love me some cannonball plug back in the day. Havent seen that in years.

I was a pack a day Redman man .
Quit waaaay back in ‘89. Cold turkey.
Still miss it!
