Radiator mounting questions

I bought a radiator for my buggy, it's a NICE C+R Racing radiator, got a good deal on it on EBAY. $94/shipped w/ a Spal fan, (it's new in box too).

Anyways, it's a little longer than I would like it to be, and I guess I could get it down and weld the end of the tank shut to make it shorter, but I'd rather not do that...

If I mount it vertically, it will fit perfectly behind the drivers seat, can I mount it like I have pictured below? I don't see any problems with this other than when I have to fill or drain it. Any suggestions on a good way to fill it if I mount it like this?

Draining is not a big deal, I can always drain it the messy way (pull a hose off).

Thanks

I would suggest putting one or 2 valves into those end tanks at the highest point to vent out air bubbles?

Aluminum end caps? If so, I'd move the outlet down to the lower corner, and put a fill/vent at the top, like Rich said. Otherwise, I guess it should work.

I think that it would be OK. To fill it jack one side up to make the cap higher. Fill it as best you can. Have reservoir pretty full crank it and allow coolant to expand as it does. then let cool and allow the vacuum to pull the fluid from the reservoir back in. Several times of this should ex-spell any air pockets.
To drain I think most of all your coolant would come out when you pulled a hose if one of them is at the lower corner.

Fill caps and drains are available to mount in the radiator hoses, you'd just have to make sure the upper hose is higher than the radiator, and the lower drops below the hieght of the radiator. Or, you can pick up a weld in filler for about $16.00 and install it in the top of the tank.

or you could mount one of these
