Not sure if this is were this shoud be. But anyways does anbody on here work for the railroad ?I goes Tuesday for a hiring section for cunductor.just like a little info from somebody that does this or knows somebody that has or still does. Thanks

before you try to get a job with the railroad, id first learn how to spell "conductor" right, amongst other things.

Thank goodness we have a English professor on the board look over it again too make sure I didn't forget to dot my i's or cross my t's.

that would be "to".

I would like to know how the hiring section is I have a pretty good job now but would really like to get on with the rr but don't want to risk losing the one I have now an not get on.

im just saying, misspelling the job position you are applying for on the application/etc greatly reduces your chances of landing said job.

that would be "to".

when i went for the signalman position at a hiring session in greensboro at a holiday inn, everybody went in, did a ASVAB/general knowledge test, took a break while they graded them. they called us back in, told us who was staying, took another break, and then called us in for an immediate personal board interview, when i went in , it was me in a chair facing 8 of them at a long table, big wigs all corporate NS guys. going over my initial application, asking me 1000 questions, you know what im saying. then interviewed the others, and then we we're told who was offered a job, out of those interviewing. free to leave, and then wait for packages from them for background checks and what not. just to put in perspective, 50 people came to the session, tested; then 10 people passed and we're asked to interview, interviewed; then 4 we're offered jobs. none of them we're at school in mcdonough,ga with me. so i dont think they passed all the background and physical stuff. good luck and be very professional at the interview, remember, these guys interview people for a living!
