I've only had this one about 2 years. My first hf rig was an even older 101EE (all analog) and I (stupidly) sold it to upgrade. I ran across this one and just so happens the guy wanted to trade for a radio I had.
Beast? Yeah, the manual lists it at 33 lbs. I also have a Icom 706 MKII that will do everything the 101 does and a whole lot more and it only weights 5 lbs.
They call them boat anchors for a reason!
