I zip tied plumbing heat tape to the floor of my dogs Dogloo house then covered it with cedar shavings. He's a northern breed so he can handle the cold easily but it sure makes me feel better! lol He also has a larger house with a real heater in it to use if he chooses but he only goes in there if I sit it there with him.
