I dont sweat the light bulb thing. You do the math, and its nothing. One 60w bulb, 5 hours a day, for 30 days straight = like $1.00 on the most expensive $/kw Im aware of in the tristate area. I like the convenience of walking into a lit room, especially if im lugging things in my arms, per usual, and not having to scrape and ding the wall to find the switch. An extra $20 a month per electric bill for the convenience is worth it to me. I make up for it in being anal on shower/bath, appliances left on. Etc
Your keurig/coffee pot that gets left on... The fridge compressor kicking on more often than necessary from standing with the door open. The electric oven. The electric hot water heater.
I raise cane about the kid taking a bath as a "daily" routine. Baths are a luxury and = about 3 showers.
