A friend of mine has a 99 Ford Ranger that he mainly uses as a hunting truck. He would like to do a suspension lift and run 33 or 35" tires. I'm a Jeep guy and don't have any experience with Rangers to help him out.

1) Any suggestions on size lift to clear 33 or 35's?
2) Any bolt on kits that are decent?
3) What axles does this era truck likely have and will they hold up to bigger tires just driving around and cruising in the woods while hunting?
4) Any Ranger specific things that I can pass along to him?

Thanks

Superlift is about the only bolt on 4" suspension lift for 4wds. It should have a d35 front and 8.8 rear. I ran 35s on those axles for years with little problems. Main problems were eating cvs and front driveshafts.

enough fire stoking, seriously though! I'm going to use these I'm afraid.. I need to move an XJ. very cool links.

their a Camburg equipped truck, well built right now on Craigslist from the Raleigh are I think.
