Re-gearing Wraith

I'm thinking about re-gearing my Wraith. Is there any particular brand I should avoid? What ratio/tooth count should I go with? This is all new territory to me and I really don't know what is out there.

I went with 14 pinion - 87 spur. Works real well. It crawls well plus I get decent wheel spin with lipo 2s. As far as brand. I'm not sure, I bought mine from CKRC so what ever they sell.

I see a spur gear for the Scorpion. Is it interchangeable with the Wraith?

It should be but I not sure. I just navigated through the Wraith specific components. I think I still have that link. I can post it for you when I get home latter today if you don't find it before.

Yeah, I looked through the Wraith section also and it was listed under there as fitting the Scorpion so I wasnt sure. If you have the link, that would be awesome.

Here are the two that I used on my Wraith and my Honcho, the transmissions are the same. I sure it's the same trans they use in all their crawlers.

Keep in mind, these may not be right for your crawling style but it works for me. If you browse through you can order several different combos and adjust to your. style.

Just got the new gears in and took it out for about 5 minutes of night "wheeling". I can already tell it crawls better and the I have more control over the throttle. The 14/87 combo seems to be a pretty good middle ground.
