I am going try and keep this simple. Just can’t figure out what to get, and what to get it off of, and what will work the best
78 cj5 soa, front is a j truck 44 full width, rear is a waggy 20. Want to move forward with the project and match the front full width wheel base with something comp in strength and performance in the rear. I am six lugs, was thinking 9 inch but that is 5 lug. What is the most efficient wide-trac set up for me to retrofit?
I am like many others on here….. a builder with a budget. Will need to have the capabilities to drive this rig from rock A on asphalt to rock B. It has been stretched a bit, and running xj springs! Any suggestions to point me in the right direction is appreciated. I have looked everywhere and just cant seem to put this all in motion.
Thanks for the help in advance, just searching for opinions at this point!!! Want to get her ready in a hurry for the season. Oh, and if you have something that will work, pm me I am ready to buy for the right price!!!

offset

Much more than just the offset difference from front to rear. I lowered the jeep about 4 inches and will run into rubbing issues with the rear and current setup. Certainly not knocking the waggy 20, just want something that clears the outside of the fenders a big more. Trimmed them, still running into problems.

Why'd you discount & yank the Waggy 20? It was already installed, geared, locked & comparable strength wise to a D44...
