Anybody know the proper installation method on this: rear D60 ratchet style hub retainer? This is a 'new to me' Ford FF D60 and I havent found anybody that knows proper final torque. This is NOT the typical nut/lock plate/ nut used on the fronts.

I can look it up when I get home. I have it wrote down. Do you have the socket to fit it?

special tool

tool- yes, I bought one from Napa. I wonder how well they work re-used? Napa also claims that this particular style is not available anymore. Whats up with that?!

Tighten to 55-65 ft-lbs and then back nut off 5 clicks for new bearings 8 clicks for used bearings.

That is the info from the manual.
Also some trucks will have left hand threads check the nut to see if it has a RH or LH stamped in it and take a good look at the nut when you get it off I have seen the tabs that lock the nut brake off.
