Rear discs w/o floating calipers?

I bought Monte Carlo calipers and Chevy rotors for the rear disc conversion on my FJ-40 rear axle. BUT I have the solid rotors and the SFA 4-piston calipers I could use instead. I have heard it's best to use floating calipers because of the slight bit of play in a semi-floating axle. Would I have problems with this if I run the Toyota stuff instead of the Chevy stuff? It would save me about $125 to run the Toyota stuff. Plus the 4-piston calipers would probably be better than single pistons calipers (although minimal).

There's a tiny amount of slop in any kind of setup, and either way, it'll push the piston back into the caliper a little bit.
