Should be a drop out unit. Can usually purchase them complete in your flavor of gears and or lockers. But if not @Jody Treadway can probably take care of you.

Any idea what the ratio is? My 55 had a 3.50 when it was still a 10 bolt. If yours is a 3.70 or a 4.10 I bet you can find somebody locally to trade for a 3.50 or 3.36.

You might be SOL on that axle, it is either an Eaton HO33 or HO35, not much of anything available for those anymore. I think you would want to put out a WTB ad on the 67-72 chevy trucks board and see if someone has a third member already geared that you can swap in. These are long obsolete. Even the later/bigger Eaton HO52/72 axles are getting near impossible to get parts for. Otherwise you will be looking to swap the entire axle out.
