It was a perfect weekend for the 2nd annual Smoke in the Valley Music Motorsports and BBQ festival at Antioch Speedway.

Campers started arriving at the motorsports park early Friday morning to make their home for the weekend and before it was all said every field on the property was full of campers, and the place was packed with racers and race fans alike.

By the time the main events would take place on Saturday night, thousands of people would have an incredible spring like weekend full of action packed motorsports, live music, food vendors, entertainment and fellowship. It was the second largest crowd the park has seen in the past 20 years...( topped only by last year's Mid East Hare Scramble race on Easter weekend)

12 racers from 4 states would do battle for 100 laps in the "Bold 100" enduro race , and Dustin Morris would outlast and out run the rest in a racing clinic set by all the racers. Not one car would wreck in 100 laps of racing. Actually, not one racer would wreck in the entire weekend of events on the new clay surface on the speedway. The new clay would prove to be very soft, but very tacky at the same time, allowing racers to have a lot of grip as they raced at speeds around 100 mph down the longest dirt straight-aways in the state. Morris would add his name to the list of racers who have won $2,000 or more at Antioch speedway in an event. All of the other racers to win such an amount are all late model race winners. The FWD 4 cylinder cars would do battle just before the "Bold" Enduro race and Blake Walker would take the Dirt Cartel car of Nathan Mclean to victory and collect that $200 payday and add the Antioch speedway trophy to his collection.

Here are how the endure racers finished:
1- Dustin Morris #83
2- Isaac Wheeler #57
3- Ben Shelton #75
4- Corey Williams #BB1
5- lance Yancey #00
6- Joey Stamey #06
7- Jimmy Conley #25
8- Travis Stoots #Bat
9- Randy Powell #1
10- D T #7
11- Barry Thorton #0
12- Justin Mintz #7

The next weekend event will be the Summerfest- Music, Motorsports, Beach and Pool Party at Antioch Speedway and Off Road Motorsports Park, Friday, June 6th & Saturday, June 7th. This event will feature another enduro style race, the Monster Mini Series, quad races, motorcycle races, 4wd events, mud bogging, and several live music performances including music headliner based out of Nashville - Lenny Cooper.
