I've got alot of old wood I'm thinking is heart pine. It's like 2.5"x8" wide T&G. I'm thinking it came off an old church roof or something. It's been sitting in an old truck trailer out in my field probably 40years or more. After seeing some of these shows on the Discovery channel about reclaimed wood I'm thinking this stuff might be worth more than just firewood. I'm trying to figure out who I need to sell it to. If anyone knows a company I could talk to about this stuff please let me know because I don't really know where to start.

Look on craigslist around charlotte I think. There is a company that sells reclaimed flooring that buys old heart pine. They came up around chartlotte, asheville and a few other places when i was looking for flooring. They had a bunch of flooring out of old mills and such for sale.

There is a guy on 226 south (about 5 miles off of I40) just past dysertsville on the right that sells the stuff. He might be a buyer.

There's a place I drive past on my way to the beach that deals in reclaimed and antique wood. I can't remember the name, or exactly where at, I just remember its right on the road, and there is an old wood building out front and stacks of antique wood. It's either off of 52, 9, or 501, one of those between Salisbury and Myrtle Beach, haha, I can't remember which.

Not the place I was speaking of, the one I am thinking of is visible from the main highway. Still cool nonetheless.

Thanks for the info. ya'll. I had to leave a message w/ Bill hopefully he will get back to me. I just hope I have enough wood for someone to mess w/. The stack is like 3.5'x8' so there is quite a bit there.

If you are actually wanting to use reclaimed wood for a house, you will have to get the wood inspected, due to the fact that it isn't new. Other than that, cool.
