I was bored so I went to the warn website today and found something cool. This might be old but they have refurbished winches for sale. They are at a really good price. I am not sure if they have a warranty or not. If this old news then I guess im behind the times.

So...in the last 8 years the price for a Warn 12k has doubled? Seems high, the price for that rebuilt is about what I paid for mine brand new in 02'. Possibly shop around, check Clemson 4x4. That is where I got mine. Good price and then free shipping.

There really ain't nothing to a winch. Mine has been apart twice. If it breaks, they can be easily repaired.

For a Jeep or other lightweight vehicle, I'd be all over that XD9000. Price seems to be about what they are selling for used...except this has a warranty.

Get it, put the synthetic rope on it and you'll be super happy.
