Ok so my insurance agent called me today cause the mail they sent me to renew my insurance was FWed back to them. I gave them my current address, which is now in NC and my car is registered in SC.

I have to renew my plate next month and plan to keep my SC address, which is 2 miles down (or across the bridge) the road from where I currently live in NC.

My car will not pass NC inspection and that is why I am keeping it in SC. So is this ok to do? Even though I dont still live there its my friends house, he owns it and is ok with my having my car registered there. What happens if my insurance picks up on this?

I had a cop tell me one time that I need to renew my license to my current address but eh, im not worried about that. I dont want em to find me anyways :flipoff2:

Legally, you are supposed to change everything to your current HOME address. But, if you have an address there, it would be up to them to prove where you lay your head.
