So the air line connection to my compressor broke off flush with the housing. Has anyone ever fixed this before? Im thinking drill out the pressed in part and then tap it for a regular air line connection? What threads are air line connections?

Thanks

Does it not just thread in? I swear the one on mine looks like a regular air line nipple, 1/4 npt I believe.

Looks like it's either a 10mm or 12mm threaded fitting, as both are available.

it's a $70 compressor, so just do whatever is cheap and convenient to fix it. Probably just drill and tap for NPT.

You can get those Japanese fittings in NPT from McMaster if you want to keep the hose that came with it. Else just order a metric spare and heat the head to kill any pneumatic sealant to get the old one out. Or order a new head for $10.

.

I did exactly this with this same pump a few years ago in order to get rid of the cheapass hose and schrader fitting that came with it. Takes about 3 minutes.
