I'm thinking about replacing my tail lights on my 01 wrangler. I would like to use my factory lenses. Anybody with any experience with this? I know i will have to buy a new relay, but what kind?

Are you talking about changing the bulbs?

yeah, switching to LED'S. I've seen and heard of people taking trailer led tail lights and converting them onto their jeep.

there was a write up on this a couple months ago in JP mag. I'll try to get the info for you tomorrow

"For '01-'06 Jeeps, they changed again. The flasher can be found in the steering column, and now you have to solder in a relay like I did here to slow the blinking lights down. I learned how to do it from www.mesa4x4.com, but if you aren't good at soldering, you can buy a new flasher already modified from Off Road Only."

alright thanks for the info!

has anyone went the led route? if so how did you wire it? whoever had the jeep before me cut the passenger side plug off coming from the light. having hard getting them fixed.
