retread tires

Does anyone know if anyone has had any problems with failure from these kind of tires?
They look like some decent off road tires if you are looking for a good deal.

Would like to hear some reviews/info about these as well. Price is definitely right.

search. there have been a few threads on here. search "cheap tires".

i had a set of T.W. tires i ran on my cuiser. great tires. i never had an issue out of them. i would buy another set fro the bronco....but they dont sell 35s.

injec4x4 (snyder automotive in mocksville) gets some good deal on remolded tires too. they use simex style molds (foreign equivelent of interco).

i have them on my truck i love them not just cuz of the price they clean out really well lil loud but a 285/75/16 mud tire isnt exactly quite they wear well but i only put 10000 miles on them b4 the truck broke. its been sitting for over 2 years & they still look brand new

As with the big rigs, I wouldn't want them on the steering axle. For an off road rig I am also curious as to how they would hold up with airing up and down???

IF they would do bigger tires, 38-44 that would be awesome.

Years ago I ran re-tread tires because they were cheap. Not sure if it's the same process or not. But I saw how they did it. They ground down the tire tread to a certain spec, then wrapped it with a soft rubber, placed inside a oven/press. It would press the tire tread pattern into the rubber and then cook it to temper the rubber and adhere it to the tire. Sometimes had failures of chunks flying off, or even the whole re-tread.

They'll slap the crap out of a fender when they blow if you're doing any kind of speed. You can tell a car that had a recap blow-out when the fender is bent all up under it. My rear fender of my truck bed knows...

TWs retreads are done in sections. you wont have a whole cap fail.

hell I had non-recaps do the same thing of both Suburbans within like two weeks. Neither were recaps and both were in good shape. One still had the paint in the tread as it was my spare.
