I am HORRIBLE!! about getting up in the morning. I have resorted to buying a seriously loud alarm clock. Worked for a while then started to turn it off in my sleep. Then I put that in a box w/ a lock on it. Worked for a while, but now I just get the key turn it off and go back to bed. What I want to do it mount a wireless switch down stairs so that I can turn it off remotely so I don't have an excues to go back to bed. Can someone help me with this. And yes, willpower blah blah blah...

go to bed earlier, you posted this a 1:43AM. go to be at 10:00 or 11:00 and that will help alot. I was the same way for a long time, but then i started to go to bed earlier and now it is easier to get up in the morning.

but what I would do is just take the speakers out of the alarm clock. mount them in your room and then run a wire down stairs and then you have to get up to turn it off. well that is assuming that you don't rip the speaker wire from the speakers in the morning. I think that wireless might be a bit over kill. But they do make wireless speaker systems that you could buy and hook up to the alarm clock.

I've gone so far as to spend $100 on a clock radio to get me up. It's loud, but I can still sleep through it. I've been known to dream about the song on the radio. What's been working for me lately is setting my phone as my alarm clock. The phone ringing will almost always get me out of bed. Even though I know it's an alarm, I still check it to see if it's a call, simply because I don't know what time it is. Eventually I'll get used to that, though.

A buddy of mine had a Motorola siren from a police car wired to his alarm clock, and he could still sleep through it. More noise is only going to eventually damage your hearing. Take the advise already given here and make yourself go to bed earlier.

lol, i have done the same thing except i sleep thru my alarm itself and incorporate it into my dream. usually i turn it into a fire truck siren and i dream of myself going on a fire call. ive woken up to go pee and my alarm have been going off for 30+ min.

now i just make sure to go to bed sooner and its not as much of an issue.

go to a truck stop and buy a screaming meanie....nuff said...
$20 and you will get up.

Getting up is no longer the problem, it is staying up.

Drink a big glass of water or a beer right before bed. Don't pee. No matter where you move the snooze button, you'll always find a way to go back to sleep. It's mental. For work, I can't get up for shit. But every Easter, I help work sound for the Sunrise Service in Old Salem. I have to wake up at about 2:45. I haven't missed one yet, but every year I'm afraid I will. Basically, if I consider it important or interesting in my mind before bed, I can get up for it in the morning. I just need to figure out how to convince myself that work is interesting!

I am the same way. But does anyone know where I can get a cheap transmitter and reciever to do this and give me some tech on it?
