Riding across the country on a GS500F

Fuck, has that chain ever seen lube? or the business end of the wrench to adjust the tension? Seriously, you may want to set aside a few bucks to have the chain & sprockets changed out before you leave for the ride back.

Damn dude, sounds like you are going to have a great adventure. Where are you going to stop on your way back? Ever read the book 'Long Way Round'? It is a fantastic book. I felt like buying a bike and taking off by the time I finished reading it.

X100..... honestly seeing that chain makes me wonder if you'll even make it back on that bike... probably had ZERO maintenance and obviously the previous owner didn't care for it at all.......

Good luck...

So you left Chase alone? Seriously tho, be careful. Good job on the cage last week. I tested it Saturday.

Wow and I thought I-40 between K-vegas and Greensboro was an adventure! :)

Our only requirement is LOTS of pictures and for you to keep yourself safe!! Hopefully you snagged a small laptop with wifi so you can check in.

Chase..he left you alone? Is that long term or he coming back?

That's going to be great trip Jon. An adventure you'll remember the rest of your life.
We took the Denver-Kansas- Missouri, Illinois route back from Moab last year. By far the worst part of the trip, especially Kansas.
Hope you have a good time and be safe. I see your sporting the $.25 sun glasses BTW....Nice.:bling:

dude your fuc@#$% crazy, wish I had the balls to do something like this, maybe my wife will give them back to me, good luck!:wheel:

Best of luck on your trip! That's a great idea with the hammock. Just stay safe, and know when to call it quits when you're too tired. I've done some Iron-butt style rides, and my biggest problem was always thinking I'm going to push it "just a little farther" when I know that I shouldn't. When you get back you'll either love that bike or hate it!

you win rich, i put a chain and sprockets on last night. oh and i cut the chain off with those files you see there....no joke, the hacksaw wouldnt cut butter
