I'm looking for a nut that gets inserted in a hex hole, and kinda like tightened/swaged into the hole, to leave a threaded hole for attaching whatever, where you cannot get at the back side. Application specifically is a handle on the a pillar of a truck.. I could drill a hole and weld a nut in, but that's too much work. I've got some of these fasteners but they are for m10 bolts. This is m6. Heck if one of y'all got some.. I'll pay a few bucks if you'll mail me a few.

A rivnut/nutsert is worthless without the tool to install it. If you were closer to me I'd tell you to come by my shop and I'd install one for you. They only cost a couple cents each when you buy them in bulk like I do (I use a lot of them working on tractor-trailers).

This is the tool I have if you are interested in expanding your tool collection. It's a China knockoff, but I've had one for years and installed thousands of nutserts with it.

I have installed a few with a bolt and a nut with a washer under the nut against the nutcert and the bolt screwed into the cert. Definitely not optimum but it worked in a few really tight spots where the tool would not fit. I don't have any M6 ones at the moment.

This is a handy tool I had to use one the other day installing aluminum canvas roof on a boat to secure it to the steering area from the sides cheapie ones are good too I’d find one that’s in a pack that will do multiple sizes tho I’ll be using these for canvas top fasteners for truggy if it ever makes it that far!!
