i just got back from looking at it. great job.

Haha, looks familiar. I really like the way that cage and grill hoop turned out.

looks like the typical slanted parking at a storage place... they are all like that pretty much :)

yj looks awesome. i'm lovin' that cage... the 4 link out back and air shocks isn't too bad either :)

Kevin you let him keep his stock shackle set-up?

I TOLD him to do a shackle reversal. Thats all I can do. It's his choice. I see bent springs in his future since they stick out farther than the tires.

Thats a nice transformation. Those driveshafts made of the new transparent aluminum?

He is young ... in need of Wisdom ...

I tried to do a shackle reversal, but w/o doing major reconstructing on the front it would not have worked and still maintained a few degrees of positive castor. I could have easily done it, but I didnt feel there was enough clearence between the shackle and the frame w/o raising the ride height 4 inches, plus I would have had to setup the rockwell with its crappy factory negative castor - then he would have been calling me every five minutes complaining the thing steers like shit.

Yeah, that's what I ran into myself when deciding whether or not I should do the shackle reversal. I just kept my shackles in the front, but I did have to outboard my springs so my shackle hangers are a little bit farther down than stock. Overall it turned out pretty nicely though; my caster angle is sweet and my approach angle is like 90.

I like it, he's not gon'na run those drums brakes is he? Or, ya'll just leave the backing plates on?

Grind the heads flush on the flange side with a 4" grinder or something, then sledgehammer the backing plate off. Seems like the quickest way I've found, Ive done 4 rears that way so far. Unless you're just gon'na torch the flange off.

looken good. That cage looks SICK. IMO I would lower it a couple inches but other than that its sick

How do you propose to lower it over that rockwell chunk without re-making the entire front frame clip like I had to?

Looks good. I like the simplicity. Nothing too crazy. What tcase is he going to run?
