So that being on Lina's jeep, what are you trying to say??
 
that plate does not look stamped, are the new NC plates not stamped metal anymore?
 
Is that from the farm?
 
The letter I received with the plate said it was cheaper to manufacture than the stamped plates and that eventually all plates would be printed. The plate is also noticably thinner than the old plates.

I'd think that the raised letters adds alot to readability off-angle...?

Wait until they REALLY want to save money, and just make people print their own on your home printer :lol:

(I'm assuming that although this is cheaper, the "plate fee" to get one hasn't gone down)
 
if it's on your wifes jeep i think its fine as long as it doesnt say "CARPTBRN"
 
Kind of a hijack but is there somewhere you can find out if a personalized plate you want is available or not?
 
the DMV!! That's not just a smart ass answer. I asked the lady if I could check it somewhere and she said no, just bring in 3 different choices. My first choice was not available because they won't print lower case letters.

if you check the DMV website, there's a place there to order personalized plates.
First you enter what you want - and it tells you if it's available or not. So you can just sit there at home and find out.

I like the "sdoo" idea
