i have the chunck out of the rear rockwell axle to weld the spiders up.
my question is ,before i removed it ,my rear drive shaft was angled to the right rear from the trans case to the axle,can i turn the chuck when i reinstall it and will be more straighter? ,or will it just go to the left rear?

You can, but only 4 studs will match up and you will have to redrill and tap the housing or redrill the third. Not a big deal though. Mudpro metal works of Hickory can get you a patt. being that it is hard to mark.http://mudprometalworks.com/home

yeah, Mud just got done doin one the other day, and I know hes got a template... but basically you leave the 4 studs over the tubes, and haveta redrill the rest

ok thanks,i knew a steerable axle could be flipped to straighten the drive shaft for a rear application, but wasnt sure about a straight rear axle would do the same,,,.

A non steer rear if you turn it around it is just off set to the other side.
