I feel like I've read before that if you wait for deals, rockwells can be had for pretty cheap. Cheaper than a pair of one tons. I would check out lots of different places and wait for a good deal, they're out there.

Thanks guys. I found some in PA. 750ea for steering u-joint style.
He has several pairs, so for some fuel money I'll bring some extras back, PM if anybody is interested.

I think... he wanted 2200 for a F/R set. Sounds like a lot for that. Only good thing is that he said he would "guarantee" them.

Deals are out there. Untill you look for them it seems like.
$750 each don't sound that bad for U-joint. Add Gas to Penn. and back not so good anymore.
Search hard!
I bought 2 steer and 1 non steer for $1000. Of course not at 1 time but in a roundabout way.
Bought rear for $200
bought front and rear $600
Me and a friend bought a truck. I got front $500 he got rear $$ and he sold scrap weight
sold 1 rear $300
After all that I have 2 steer and 1 non $1000

I hear ya on the fuel to PA, but I sold my 1 tons today so I'm axle less. I have looked every where I know to look and can't find 2 u-joint steerer's. I found plenty of front-rear combo's fairly local.

U-joint style front and rear rocks. Axles are complete and have'nt been touched. i can send pics but u can take my word that they look like all other 2 1/2 tons. they turn free and smooth and has'nt been sittin out n weather. u can have wheels an tires with'em. call anytime 270-871-3026. $1700 FIRM.
