I am installing my hellas and my CB and I am about to drill through my firewall, but I can't seem to find any place to buy rubber grommets. Where does everyone get theirs? In case I am spelling this wrong, I am looking for the rubber things that go around a metal hole that protects the wires from the metal and also keeps water from coming through the hole. Thanks!

I saw those, but I am trying to get this done tomorrow, so I didn't know if there were any brick and mortar stores that carried them.

any parts store will have them in the Help! section

The guy at Advance tonight had no idea what I was talking about, and NAPA had already closed, I guess I will try NAPA again tomorrw

Autozone or advance should have them in the "HELP" section as previously stated, don't ask them, just go look. They don't know anything. The advance auto on high point rd there in G-boro is open 24hrs if you absolutely have to have it tonight.

some of them don't know anything

the one in York included...
Seriously Since Brad took all the help next door, you were the only one there who knew where the 710 cap even was.

it's a bitch finding good/knowledgeable help

Lowes hardware has the best selection I have found in one place. In the metal drawers, where the specialty bolts and fastners are.

I use plastic bushings. They wont rot out like the cheap rubber grommets. If you have a car audio shop close by give them a visit. I use my step bit, and put a lil bit of silicone or dum dum putty around the wire after it is inserted, to keep it water proof.

OH and if this is going on your zj, i think there is a bigass oem grommet on driverside firewall. Just get a piece of 5/16 fuel tubing cut a 45 on one end, and poke it threw a factory grommet. Run your wire threw it and remove. Pretty simple, but very effective.
