RUF questions

I have a.... well its an 83 longbed Toyota chassis and have been reading up on the rear springs in the front. Is there a particular year I should use for my application? What modifications need to be made to the shackles and mounts? Will that give me clearance for a high steer? Lift is roughly 3" I think, is that correct? Will RUF hinder the drivablity of the truck.

I am finacially challenged and continue to keep this as a daily driver, but want to constantly improve the offroad capabilities.
