Howdy guys, school me on what leafs you all combine in a pack to make up some RUF spring packs. I read some of the thread on them on pirate but there’s a lot of people say a lot of different things an argue with each other. I’ll have a set from my 94 pickup when I do the Chevy spring swap so I can start with them. My question is are the pickup springs better than the 4Runner springs? Can I mix 4Runner springs in with my pickup pack? I also read one guy used his pickup pack with a 1.5 add-a-leaf....would that work. Please ones that’s got them or ran them chime in...

Holy crap... I am not sure I could duplicate mine again if I had to. Up front, I run a custom main leaf that alcan built based off a 4" rear wheel spring. I think I had the rear of the spring lengthened 4 or 5". I have a couple of the 4"springs in there and a couple of rear Dakota springs.

The yj's did good but the shackle angle was terrible. That is why I had the custom leaf made.

Rears are 3 leaf Chevy 63's with the overload cut away.

Buy two sets of stock rear springs and combine them by adding 2 to 3 leafs to each pack to get desired ride height.

You can combine leafs from different packs. Just try to keep leaf thickness the same and stack them shortest on the bottom to longest up top (closest to the eye leaf)

I have never paid attention to the difference. The 4 runner springs "should" be stiffer to carry the extra weight. If they are take a leaf out

From what I read they say the factory pickup pack won’t hold up the front end cause of the motor. My idea was to use the top leafs of the pickup pack an mix in some from a 4 runner....if that sounds like it would work

I can assure you the rear truck packs will hold up a Toy front-end, because I'm running them (minus 2-3 leaves) in the front of my Commando w/ AMC V8, 4" box-tube bumper, & winch...
