I have heard the same thing. I only got 1/10th of my warranty out of them.

It is a rumor they are not going out of business................ i mean they might, but not in the next 6 months. Not to mention now that they own precision, i think they are to big to go out of business truly. Soemone will buy them for there name and manufactring abilties. And that company will continue to warranty your shafts so don't sweat it.
