running propane ?

i have a 88 xj wanting to run propane . how do i go about it . and what are the pros and cons compared to gas
is it really worth the trouble .

Is your XJ FI already? If so, I dont see the benefit to running 'pane... You would haveto switch to a carb intake, and install the propane system. The main benefit to 'pane is being able to run at angles, and if you have FI you can already do that...

So are you inj or carb? If carb, at least on a yoya, the selling points were...
1. runs on any angle
2. Burns like 110 octane(needed for my turbo setup)
3. Only 2 wires needed to make my rig run.

it is FI , 4.0 . i guess i will just spend the money on a exo cage , thanks to all on the help ,

what did u use to cup the ends of the tubing . i have a rigged up set up with a drill and a 2x4 . dont ask , but it is not working well

I use a hole saw and a drill press or a 4.5 inch grinder. I assume you are talking about noching the tubing.
