Well over the weekend I purchased a 1995 Cherokee 4 door sport... tons of miles and rust, but she goes down the road great....

My question is, the front floor boards have a few rust holes, the rocker on the drivers side also has a nice hole in it, amoung other places with rust... My main question is do they make replacement floorboards for these Uni body things like they do CJs??? How about replacement rockers or like diamond plate rocker guards??? If so can you forward me a link to find them? thanks!

i dont know about the floors, but i know a popular mod in the rust belt is to cut out the rockers and replace with 2x4 or so tubing

this only works if the rockers arent in terrible shape, but it doesnt sound like yours are too bad

nah the rockers are far from shot, just the drivers side rear has a hole abt 6"...

Honesty my main concern with the rust is to take care of the floor boards, im pulling the carpet maybe this week, if i can find time.. but i can see carpet when i crawl under in a couple of spots. thats never a great sign... i hope maybe i can just get some diamond plate or sheet metal welded in, rhino the inside and say the hell with it...

This is my first non-dd trail rig project, so its going to be an adventure for me.

I fould a set of rockers on e-bay, i guess u cut out what you have and weld in new... I kinda think thats going to be pointless for a trail rig huh?

love those rails... now i need to find someone local to make them

replacing rockers would be stupid for a trail only rig because your proablly just going to crunch the new ones on a rock lol. just cut out the bad and invest in sliders and say the hell with it. remember its a trail rig.
